Take a Look: Exhibitions we’re visiting this summer

There are some fantastic exhibitions happening over the summer. Here are some highlights:

– Visit the new Sydney Modern Project which has transformed the Art Gallery of New South Wales into a unique art museum campus with two buildings and an art garden. Click here to find out more.

– Visit MCA’s summer blockbuster exhibition by Do Ho Suh. South Korean artist Do Ho Suh is known for his large-scale sculptures and architectural installations, which address the often complex relationships between the body, memory and space. Click here to find out more.

– Take a trip down to Melbourne and be inspired by a visit to Heide Museum of Modern Art’s current exhibition Barbara Hepworth: In Equilibrium. The exhibition brings together more than forty works from prestigious international and national collections, including sculptures in stone, wood, bronze and other metals and a select group of paintings. Click here to find out more.

– Drive up the coast to visit Alex Seton’s latest solo exhibition, Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt currently on show at The Lock-Up, Newcastle, NSW. Alex has created a series of glass installations that contemplate memory, forgetting, and loss with the passing of time. Click here to find out more.

– Head further north to visit The Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre for Lindy Lee’s solo exhibition Flowing Everywhere and Always. The exhibition includes a series of scrolls, ‘rain works’, sculptures, and a room-scale installation. Click here to find out more.
