Take a Look: Entries Open for the Tom Bass Prize

The Tom Bass Prize organising committee is excited to announce that entries are now open for the 2022 Tom Bass Prize for Figurative Sculpture – the 4th time the prize has been offered. We encourage established as well as emerging, and young sculptors to enter.

Submissions can be made until the 19th of November 2021. All applications must be submitted online via the Tom Bas Prize website. All artists should first read the ‘Curatorial Brief/Terms and Conditions’ document available here.

This time the prize pool for the Tom Bass Prize has been increased to $26,000! The following prizes will be awarded:

The Tom Bass Prize  – $18,000
Highly Commended – $5,000
Curator’s Choice – $2,000
People’s Choice  – $1,000

We are pleased to confirm that the exhibition of finalists will again be held at Juniper Hall in Paddington, commencing on the 3 March 2022 and concluding on Sunday 20 March 2022.

The Tom Bass Prize for Figurative sculpture was initiated to mark the 100th Birthday of Tom Bass AM (1916 – 2010), and is an acknowledgement of the influence Bass has had as one of Australia’s pre-eminent sculptors and educators.
